Well I decided to buy some Full Force Diesel stock flow injectors. Ordered 7AD and 1AE from their newer Evolution line up. Installed them last week with new Alliant valve covers and UCVH’s. Truck started up great and ran good for about 5-10 minutes. Then I developed a rough idle and a strange noise from the injectors. I thought at first I just had trapped air and decided to put some miles on the truck. So now, after about 160miles, still have the same issues. So I thought I should double check my work, went back in and “hot torqued” the injectors. Got about 1/4 turn on each one at 10 ft-lbs. All the harnesses look great, everything seems to be in order. My truck ran fine on the previous injectors, had about 230K on them, a few were loud and tired so I decided to replace as I use this truck to haul our travel trailer. I hugely regret not going with the Alliant Power injectors. I have emailed Full Force and have not received a response currently. I have attached some videos of the sounds. 1st video is the rough idle and the second is the strange injector noise, what i think is a solenoid/armature clanking away, noise at around 20 seconds?? Anyone had this before?
Truck is a 2000 f250, 230k miles
New Motorcraft: ICP, CPS
Original IPR, with new pigtai
Original IDM
I don't have anything useful...was just thinking i recently switched injectors but didn't get around to changing the oil right away and it sounded funny/ different. then I changed the oil and is a lot quieter now and sounds better.
I think in your 1st vid I can't hear anything but could just be my ears. second one though sounds weird but I'm not sure what the cause is

First video is the uneven idle. You can see the rpms bouncing all over. I agree, I’ve been around a few 7.3’s. Never heard a noise like that. Truck ran fine before these injectors. Got nearly 250miles on it at this point and still the same issues. Full Force left a voicemail as I missed their call. Called back, left them a voicemail.
Oh okay, I did notice the erratic idle initially.
nothing like playing phone tag. I'll be curious what they have to say. I haven't had a good experience with Ryan in the past. I simply asked him a question of concern and he got all defensive and pointed blame elsewhere.
Hopefully you have a better experience and can get it resolved
are you running any tuning at all or just factory from the PCM?

Stock tune, and yes i have read where others were not very impressed with their customer service. Hopefully they help me out.
Dang, I was hoping you were posting an update and you got in contact with them.
the reason why I was asking about tunes was because i recently switched to CNC fab injectors, granted not stock...but they require higher ICP otherwise they have an erratic/ rolling idle. My idle issues also brought a rough idle when sitting at a light. That all went away when I got my tuning adjusted though.
That shouldn't be the case with stock injectors though
I don't have anything helpful but will be following to see if you can. get this figured out and/ or resolved

I was able to get their customer service guy yesterday. He was very helpful, basically stated that the solenoid armature clearance is likely the issue with one of them. Want me to unplug each one while its running to find out which one it is and they will replace it under warranty.

If they can't be bothered to check that before shipping the injectors, that's a bad sign.
I'm wondering if an armature plate screw got reused and over tightened and broke.

I agree, doesn’t look good on their QC. They are supposed to be flow matched, and I would think from a layman’s perspective there’s no way that could be true if that clearance is that far off?
I have a set of Stage 1 Full Force injectors in my brothers 7.3 outside, we have had nothing but problems with them, their customer service was not my favorite experience either.
Whenever you pursue warranty, stay on top of them because they stonewalled us into expiration.
I wish you nothing but luck and a better experience.

Thank you! I’ll be pushing hard to get this corrected. Truck was running fine previously. Was just looking for a reliability upgrade. Looks like I went with the wrong build.
