The time has come...
Still in the planning and build stage, not financing unless Ford credit has a deal. I can always buy it out after the fact.
Appreciate the input.

Going to park it at my mom's home when she loses power after a storm, she can't get nat gas piped in so a portable gen and having to refill it is only choice at the moment, or park the truck in her driveway and plug it in. Speaking of charging, I'm reading about the charger being included and installed free of charge so that's a plus.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
im going to go back to riding a bicycle. Mechanical drill, speed wrench, rotary dial phone, Kodak film camera, Timex Watch, hand saw, simple tooth brush, and ear trumpet hearing aid.
That way I won’t explode and burn up.
Screw dangerous progress. .

Luddite fodder! Finally decided on the truck, it's a red "Flash" ext range batt, 312A group. Never heard of Flash but apparently it's a thing lol, they list the trim levels as XLT, FLASH, LARIAT, PLATINUM. flash, lol smh.
Going down tomorrow to sign the paper work so they can do a dealer xfer. Anything you wish you knew before you signed? Going to test the waters so to speak, I figure if anything catastrophic is going to happen, it'll happen within 3 years so I decided at my age, to hell with wrenching if I ain't getting paid lol, let someone else worry with it when the time comes, and decided to lease.
When the time comes and with technology the way it advances so fast, there will come a time when, it just makes sense to upgrade and let the old out and new in. If I still wore a younger mans clothes I'd likely think differently but who knows. Whether or not I buy at lease end or just roll it over is yet to be seen.

I leased my 2024 also. The lease terms were similar to purchase and the option to buy gave me freedom of choice after 3 years. Plus Ford lease program includes gap insurance. At my age I leased it under my name alone so if anything “happens to me” my wife won’t be obligated to continue the lease.
Did you chose option of free wall charger with free standard installation or the $500 rebate instead?

If you don’t have a charger installed already it’s a hell of a deal. Read the limitations on installation.
the Flash ER has a 123 kWh battery vs the 131 kWh in the Lariat or Platinum.
The $600 option mobile charger includes a Tesla adapter to use the Tesla Supercharger network that are enabled for other manufacture like ford
The 9.6 kw Pro-power onboard with 240 30 amp generator output is a $1200 option on any trim other than platinum where it is standard
Keyless entry keypad on door post is a $225 dealer installed option
Spare tire is a $175 option
The Flash is in reality a XLT with 312a package that includes several popular upgrades.
if you have any questions ask away. Best to leave me a DM so it will alert me.

I'll find out for certain before ink hits the paper, I told them the deal is contingent on that 2 way pwr xfer ability. Good info on the batt size also, I had no idea they changed it, perhaps it has something to do with them changing battery types from NMC to LFP? Last I heard about the chemistry change was in a press release or perhaps it was a future update I read or just plain bs altogether I have no idea, lol.

The mobile charger that will come with it if it’s on the window sticker for $600 includes 2 pigtail/dongle cables. One for L1 120v charging and the other that plugs into a 50 amp outlet that will charge at 30 amps. L1 takes forever to charge.
The Flash is not LPF. It’s just a reduced capacity NMC. It still has 9 modules but some are smaller capacity.
A good site for Lightning owners is https://www.f150lightningforum.com
Verify that it has the $1200 optional 9.6 kW ProPower. If not then it only comes with 2.4 kW 120 v outlets, not the 240 v 30 amp outlet.
