I know I will never pull an EV into my garage and charge it....
Not gonna burn down my place with one plugged in or otherwise.
Outdoors is sort of stupid here 365 days a year due to the weather.
Parking lots, several transport ships sunk due to fires. Fires
in rural areas needing 12,000 gallons of H2O transported to contain.
-------------
NADA with me.

There are far too many home blowing up USA wide and Companies
The systems are obsolete. Bridges, roads, electrical, internet, NG,
Propane, Most all systems in the ground and above are obsolete.
Everything around me is under construction, ground, boring cable etc.
Its all junk

I git a call from a friend TODAY that he pulled his gas riding mower into his garage after cutting his grass. A short while later it caught on fire due to a gas leak at the carburetor.

He ordered a Ryobi electric zero turn mower shortly afterwards.

By the way, he is a fireman.

He'll like the Ryobi if it's the new one with lithum batteries, the older models like mine came with lead acid deep cycle batteries, didn't last 3 years. Replaced them with LFP batteries that are warranted to last at least 10 years.

I had a Toro z turn and the Ryobi blows it away performance wise, cuts faster, doesn't bog down when mulching etc....

Everyone here knows you don't like them so why don't you take a long walk off a short pier. All you do is spread negativity in here and I for one am sick and tired of it!

To each his own. I have 3 EVs in my garage. They work for me 100% of the time. I understand they don't work for everyone and ignore the negativity that some post. They don't know what they are missing.

My friend who bought the Ryobi Zero Turn after his gas riding mower burnt up will park the Ryobi it in his garage next to his Cadillac Lyriq EV.

Two of my other right leaning friends converted to EVs after a ride in one of mine. One has a Model Y and the other has a Yellow Mach-e GT Both say their EVs are the best cars they ever owned and will never go back. The one with the GT said at one time that he would never own a EV because of his political leanings. I now keep reminding him he owns a "Made in Mexico" EV.

Insult yourself! You been blocked for years.
Out of the 10 Dewalt 20 Volt batteries over the past couple of years 4 have failed with the first few uses and charges. Sure its a great story of power and success too.
I don't buy Dewalt 20 volt Lithium batteries any more. The other 8 have worked all right of other Companies that fit DeWalt tools. Can one tell I use a 20 volt Dewalt tool a lot?
My tests show the battery usage disconnect part is faulty at low voltage after about 30 minutes.

But sure, you can ship me 4 - 8 amp 20V DeWalt batteries so I will be happy. Thanks!

By the way we do not park neither of our direct Fuel injected vehicles near our house.

You convinced me of the dangers of Lithium batteries. I’m going to sell my EV vehicles, power drill, chain saw, hearing aids, portable house phones, cell phones Apple Watch, Blink Cameras, Blink doorbell, and electric toothbrush

im going to go back to riding a bicycle. Mechanical drill, speed wrench, rotary dial phone, Kodak film camera, Timex Watch, hand saw, simple tooth brush, and ear trumpet hearing aid.

That way I won’t explode and burn up.

Screw dangerous progress. .

My first drill was super insulated.

And I have “fond memories” of undoing a fasteners on a panel on the belly of a B-52 in 40 kt winds and 15 deg temp at night, while dressed in “bunny boots” and an arctic parka. We used a speed wrench to unscrew the hundreds of fasteners to access Doppler radar avionics.

Years later my old school mechanic working on my airplane was still using a speed wrench to undo Phillips head screws on panels. I introduced him to my craftsman rechargeable drill to unscrew hundreds of screws in 1/10th the time.

My coworker and his family all died overnight from CO poisoning when his daughter came home and left the car running in the garage.

Remember when Ford recalled 8.7 million cars due to ignition switch causing fires.

I win!

I know we all got ta have our toys. I will wait for ranged ways to go electric. I want 1000 miles. At minimum 550.
I see no advantage to riding in an electric 5 - 30 miles a day. sure, Lawyers, professional people can brag I got a EV.
So you can eat the expenses too. No more tax deductions for stupid.

Super-heated steam is coming, the drilling fast to most every state to replace the Carbon of most powerplants,
thus no need of ridiculous costs of Lithium pollution. Sure leasing Gas F150's with 19,000 miles per year is a great ideal.
GM can't sell any of its ideas.

@Papa Tiger
May I suggest that since you don’t have anything constructive to contribute to this EV Sub Forum that you consider hanging out somewhere else? Feel free to come back here when electric trucks can get your 1000 miles of range.
