I have two screw heads on my inner cab area near the rear of the front fender.area. I think there was a splash apron attached originally. The photo shows the heads of the screws. They are sheet medal screws and are not very long. There are also two holes on the inner fender that I figured were for clips to hold my wire harness. Anyway does anyone know what was attached to the hex headed screws? The pic is the left side. Thanks
The parts are 7C-16022/3, replaced in 1952 by 2C-16022/3 but are backwards compatible. I'm not aware of any sources of reproductions limiting your options. Can't hurt to give Chuck of Chucks Trucks LLC a ring or see if any members here may have a set to part with. There is currently one listed on eBay:
I recently got a pair of them installed. I found out i was missing them from this forum. Somewhat hard part to locate as I think most of them rusted out and these being a one year only deal. 1952 has that a lot.

I don't believe these are a one year only thing as I have multiple references for earlier years. The 1952 part number revision did happen for the single year, 1952.

I know it’s at least a two year only part if not a 1 year- I’m almost certain ? Could it be 1948-1950? ..Possible. I’m only going from my memory last year I had a discussion with Chuck in fact. I believe this photo shows the difference between the two kinds the 52 version are larger. Time for some memory supplements! Left side early right side 52….
We are saying the same thing - these splash guards are seen throughout the entire first generation. There was a backwards compatible change in ~52. It would be Ford service correct to see either revision on any year first generation truck.
