Rattle can touch up job eminent . . . Help!

My wife's car has clrear coat acne and after excessive searching . . . I'm going to have to fix it. The body shop quoted us about $5-6 grand for them to do it. Sounds like they just didn't want to F*^#~k with it.So, I'm not unfamiliar with rattle can coatings as I have built and repaired guitars. What I'd like to know is your expert recomendation for what brand or type of base coat (if needed) and clear coat to use? also I'd like to get an estimate on how many cans of each I should get?

See if there's a "body shop supply" store in your area, and maybe go in and chat with them about it. They may be able to make suggestions for products and techniques.

I wish . . . I'm in Cheyenne, WY. Superior place to live, grow up, and grow old . . . not a hotspot for retail varieties. Our "body shop supply" is likely Advance auto or O'Reilly's. But I can give it a try. My go-to supplier for all things we need . . . Amazon.

You have an autobody supply shop near you.... it is important to use one mfg product line because this is now a chemistry class with regards to any paint application. IMHO, I would just sand it down, mask off the rest of the truck and paint it...the shop can help guide you.

There's a place called "Sidles Co Automotive Paint" in Cheyanne. Worth walking in to talk to them.
