Howdy everyone.

Hey all my name is Mike and I have a 1993 f150 single cab short bed flareside with dual tanks a 302 a e40d and rear wheel drive that I have owned since 2018, in 2020 my head gasket failed and I had to take it off the road for a good while, I had the time and funds finally so this last weekend my buddy and pulled the 302 I had in there and resealed everything. The whole rotating mass(cam, pistons, bearings etc) were in good shape so we left that for now and put in a new oil pump, lifters, pushrods, had the heads resurfaced and cleaned, but I am interested in putting a cam in it. it currently has the hydraulic roller cam in there and I know putting anything too agressive in there would not work with the current ecu set up. But I’m confused and have found conflicting information about being able to chip and tune the speed density system. Any insight or information would be appreciated. I am also looking for diesel-Brad or anybody who has info on where to find the metal tube mounting brackets for these factory fiberglass side steps. the rust has not been kind to mine and this forum seems to hold the best hopes for finding some. Thank you for all the advice in getting here already!

I would contact 5 star tuning for questions on getting a tune for your speed density system. Good luck!
