No start, no wait to start light

My truck died on me and wouldn't restart, got it towed home. I have unplugged the fuel filter heater and replaced the fuses associated with it. After unplugging the LDM and checking for the WTS light, the light comes on, but turns off very quickly. I'm not sure what to test from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

None of the fuses were blown, but I replaced that one anyway. Battery voltage, 12.6. 2000 and I meant IDM.

Is the fuel over 1/4 tank? Oil full? Does the tach register when you crank it? You can try unplugging the ICP and see if it fires...

Might be time to get some sort of diagnostic equipment. Forscan or forscan lite are the cheapest ones out there and plenty of people on this forum are familiar.

There are some variances thru the years as far as fuse # and wires on the flow chart, some values might be for a newer or later model.
Confirm your looking at the right thing before condemning anything.

As an example, I believe the ECM/Fuel Bowl heater fuse on our year is #30, but the flow chart lists it as #22. I think #22 is an earlier year, or at least a different year.

Regardless of the year, the 7.3 needs the same five things to run.

Good luck and report back with your findings, theres lots of smart people on this forum.

from here in Baltimore, MD

it smells like the fuel bowl heater shorted out, and blew the fuse again.

No, wasn't the fuel bowl heater. That's unplugged and fuse replaced. Old one wasn't blown either.

Disconnect EBP sensor up by the HPOP and recheck for WTS light. Easy to do and can cause symptoms you have, though not sure about WTS light coming on briefly with IDM disconnected. That' seems weird.
