I recently came upon some information that I hope is accurate. Supposedly the front seats of the large body Bronco's are interchangeable with the F-Series pickups. Even to the point that the mounting holes line up for just dropping them in without any drilling. Can anyone knowledgeable about this confirm that this information is accurate? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
78/79 Broncos share the same seat bolt pattern as the 73-79 trucks, even back to 66 trucks, the newer Broncos, 80~>up share the same with the F150's/250's and thankfully, whomever at Ford that was in charge of seats, kept the seat rails the same width through 96. I just put a 90's front seat out of a CC in my 66 F250. I used 1 1/2" .120 square stock to raise it, otherwise you have to knock out the nuts spot welded in the newer seat rails, but the distance is the same for the rails and the bolt holes in them.
Thank you so much for that information. It is greatly appreciated.
Now my next question. The seat attachment points are the same for the F150 and F250 as you said and that is great to know as I may want to do that to an F150 I may buy.
But how about the F350. The reason I ask is because the truck I'm working on is my F350 Supercab. I just assumed all seat attachment points would the same in the F150/F250/F350 cabs.
So you say "Large Body Bronco":..as in 78/79 or newer? Bench or buckets? Bronco buckets are not quite a bolt and go into a truck. You know that 78/79 Bronco also came with a split folder bench, just like SC trucks. And for the most part any up to 2000+ seat from a Ford truck will go right in, som failry easy, some need a little modificiation. Just reuse the 79 sliders and bolt them to you newer seat and go for it.
73-79 bench seat from any F100-F150-F250-F350 will go right in. You can use 80/90's and even newer 2000 ish Ford CC REAR seat in a regular cab. And as alwasy reusing the up to 79 sliders. 95 Eddie Bauer.
