Some things are different?

So I've got a 2019 F250 XLT and it's time to change the oil again.
I've been taking it to the dealer to do but this time I need to do it myself. Anyway when I go online to the auto parts stores the filter comes up as, among others, a Fram FF2.
But that is absolutely NOT what is on my vehicle now. The dealer Used a Mighty T48-SP, which when crossed referenced is a different Fram. I bought the one crossed referenced but now I'm curious and concerned about what else is going to be different parts on this thing. And why this would even be the case at all. I mean these two filters are not even remotely the same size.
Would it be that my truck come out of Canada? Though I've read that there generally are no differences between a Canadian and a US built truck maybe this is incorrect...?

That "Mighty" filter, is the cheapest piece of chinese crap sold!
NEVER, NEVER let those filters near your truck again!!!

Best filter, Motorcraft FL2124S most updated 6.7 PowerStroke filter available.
Base Fram filter is not much better than that Mighty junk.

ALSO, Shell Rotella oil has a rebate through the 31st of this month for $80.

I wouldn't put a Fram filter on my lawn mower.

I'm not sure but I think that FF2 is a gas burner filter.

I use Baldwin filters on all my vehicles. Exceptional quality, great micron ratings and USA made. Baldwin, Wix, Donaldson and Motorcraft are the only filters I'd personally use on my truck.

Your dealership used a “Mighty” filter? That’s surprising. While Fram does make filters that I consider to be “okay”, I don’t include their economy line in that list. Motorcraft, Purolater, Wix, Donaldson, and Baldwin consistently make better filters.

It would help immensely if you’d mention which engine you have in your ‘19. I didn’t bother to try to look up what the filter you mentioned fits.

Fram makes good and bad filters,
how often do you change your oil, if your doing it every 3-5k then no sense paying for a 15k filter.
The Motorcraft filter is hard to beat and good to 15k.

Use Motorcraft filters and a quality motor oil like Mobil One in your gasser. That is what your engine is designed to use. Service departments try to maximize profits at your expense. That is why they pulled one over on you and put a cheap bulk filter on your truck. I'm shocked that an authorized Ford service center would pull that crap. 🤔

I am assuming this a 6.2, the OEM filter is an FL820s. Which is a M22x1.5 thread. I can't find a mighty T48-sp online, sounds like some fly by night cheapo filter. A Fram FF2, cross references to a Baldwin B329 which is the same cross reference as a FL820s so you at least have the right gasket size and thread there. Quality I am assuming is crap, IMHO outside of Napa most auto parts stores are complete crap. The retail prices are insane ($35 for oil, $30 for an oil filter, get out of here) and the selection is typically meh. I prefer Rock Auto, too many fakes on Amazon for me and last time I used them they were nice enough to leave my three gallons of oil upside down. Made a mess.

This. If you have a Ford dealer putting anything other than Ford parts on something you've got a problem. My dealer is a Ford/Ram combo, and they were putting Motorcraft filters on my Rams. Not that I minded, but I don't think they STOCKED any other brand for filters.

Most brands of filter are made by 2 different companies, Mann+Hummel and First Brands. Watch some videos cutting a lot of these filters open and you'll see they are basically identical.

Many dealerships do cheapo oil changes, using cheapo china junk oil filters, all about profit margins.
Happened to me once back when I had my RAM, and it came with a maintenance plan, and I stopped at a RAM dealer out in New Mexico when I was not going to be back home for a while, and they stuck some cheapo filter on it, and I raised hell, and made them change it out to a mopar filter. Their service manage claimed they didn't get reimbursed enough to use mopar filters, and I told him that it was a RAM factory maintenance plan and I expected factory filters to be used. He just handed me my keys back and walked away.
