So I have a 1992 f-150. It’s a single cab, long bed 4x4. I’m wanting to replace the front tank due to age and wear. I’ve done plenty of research and have read that my truck should have a 19 gallon front tank so I ordered one and change my old one out. Well when it came in I immediately knew that I had a problem. The one that came out of my truck was quite a bit smaller than the 19 gallon one I ordered. My question is has anyone else ran into this problem? If so any insight would be greatly appreciated. I assume mine is the 16 gallon front tank because like I said it’s noticeably smaller. I tried installing the new tank but couldn’t get it to fit properly. This is the comparison.
