Superduty trifold tool kit
Now that most of my upgrades are done I’m scaling down on the tools I want to carry in the truck.
tried the Sears plastic tool boxes (3 fir under the rear seat) and I found them to be tool noisy with h road bumps , etc.
was thinking about the larger BoxUSA off road tool rolls but when I compared the tools to the ford superduty trifold tool roll decided there was not much difference and the ford kit cost less. With all the points I had the ford kit would actually cost me nothing.
kit came in and as expected the tools are average more like homedepot or Lowe’s quality definitely not snap on quality
But the tool bag itself was really good and clever in the lay out. There is actually no other tool roll of any type that I have found even close to it.
I want to see if I could get just the tool roll bag and fill it with my own tools that way I can have a kit for other vehicles and after contacting the producer of the ford kit they said the bags would be on their web site soon but I could buy the bag now if I wanted. So I bought two at 140 each. About double what an Amazon roll up bag would cost ….but the standard roll ups are not as large and organized as the ford trifold.
the kit fits easily under the rear seat and makes no noise at all on road bumps. The kit also fits perfectly in my decked drawer system.
here are some web pics.
I have been using the Atlas Roll Up for mine.
I am using the larger wrench bag. The wrench slots are large enough that I could put SAE and similar METRIC size doubled up in the same slot.
I have different bags for different tools so they are not to heavy all in one bag. If I only need open end or screwdrivers I do not have to drag everything out.
They are pricey though.
I agree about the rattling with tools driving down the road. There is no noise with the roll up and soft bags. They also maximize space instead of box style.
