I see only one factory Ford one on Ebay
Item number 156576238102
The guy does not know what it fits, upper lower, left, right
Look at the picture he says
For 49 bucks I think I'd at least try the cheap ones
His is 119
I see that OBS Solutions offers a kit with new hinges. Might give them a ring and see what this is. I've gotten nothing but excellent quality items from them. Top notch company on the parts they make and sell.
I've rebuilt hinges hundreds of times
New pins and drill and make bushings
Sometimes the bushings in the hinge pin kits do not fit well
I take garage door openers apart and use bushings from those sometimes
Curious if anyone has tried to just rebuild the hinges with new pins and bushings and if so how did that work out?
That is on my project list now. I purchased a worn out one and plan on remanufacturing that. Once I am done, I will swap it out. I've got welders, lathes, and mills. It appears to be really easy to make that hinge be really strong.
I got the pins/bushings a while ago and just got around to doing it, so I don't remember where I got them from. It was either RockAuto (possibly) or Amazon (likely). The old pins didn't want to come out but they did eventually. No word on longevity of the new stuff yet but fit is good and the door closes much better. I've got door striker bushings enroute to complete the project. Hope this helps...
I’ve never had any luck with those cheap rebuild / pin kits. The bushings are white metal, and break. Usually the pin / bushing holes are wallowed out. If you can, make the bushings out of brass.
Are there no complete hinges anymore? You could still get Motorcraft a couple yrs ago.
