anyone know which lights are made to install on the rear hitches of these trucks for back-up lights? i had the round ones on my old truck but i had to fabricate them on, and i was hoping to get them to bolt to the hitch this time so they would blend in better. thanks!
Sure! Check out my gallery... You can see them mounted on my hitch.
Here is the link to the manufacturer's web site [link:205.217.9.182/whitenight/index.htm|whitenight]
I got a set of SRB Superbright foglights - and mounted them off the sides of the hitch in the rear. I would post a pic if I knew how to do that. They are actually about halfway under the bumper - monuted on a angle towards the ground - and they put off alot of light....
I had the White/Night setup prior to this , and it lasted for about 2 weeks before a tight turn with the trailer cracked the plastic housing in half !!
I got a set of KC backup light from Quadratec. I bought them a couple of years ago for $50. Now they are $72.95. They are 2" X 6" and are 55 W. I have them hooked to the backup lights via a relay, and will have them on their own switch when I get the chance.
Here is the website:

Hope this helps,

>Hey MrRottnDog can you aim them at all? seems a jacked up
>truck like yours you might want them aimed down a tad to get
>the same effect? just curious
I somtimes have the excursion hand washed. The car wash guys have angled it down for me! They think it makes a neat step while doing the back of the roof! :-(
>do the kc mount to the hitch easilly or do you have to make
>a bracket? are they bright?
Actually, I drilled into the brackets for the bumper and mounted them to it. That was hardest part, if you have a good set of drill bits, it's not too bad. They are hooked up on a relay behind the left rear tail light. As far as being bright. Yes, they are. The stock backup lights look like candles in comparison.
