What's the advantage over the factory wiper motor?
I just couldn’t find a wiper motor within my price range locally. I’m sure someone can find one online somewhere, but the only ones I found were nos on eBay for around 500 bucks. These Dakota motors are available everywhere and are around 50-60. If I could have found a stock replacement for that price I would have definitely gone that route though.

I agree with you, finding parts for our older trucks is time consuming and $$, nice way to figure out an option and keep it working! And thanks for sharing!
I had the hardest time a few yrs ago trying to find a single speed wiper switch for my 66 F100, found ONE, took him about a month to find it and verify it was correct, as he was retiring and closing up shop. And it wasn't cheap, not super expensive, but not cheap, I like to keep it original if possible AND cost effective.
Nice! FYI your video is listed as made for kids, which prevents it from being being saved for some reason. I
Also can’t see pt 1 in your videos, possibly for the same reason.
Ok, should be fixed now! Here is the first vid. Im embarrassed by the mess, but im testing several different things. Frankenstein research and development is my favorite hobby.
I did that about 5 years ago and again 1 year ago. That does work, but they also do wear out over time. I would say that if yours works after a good clean, regrease then obviousley do that. This is for if you need to replace and dont want to spend the asking price for a nos unit.
X2 thanks for the info and the video, I would rather spend $50/60 versus $500 for sure. But then again I have lots of parts trucks with wiper motors still.....
