I posted this in the y block forum but wanted to see if I could reach anyone else. Looking to upgrade to a 4barrell for some extra power. Has anyone milled and drilled a two barrel y block’s specifically intake into a four barrel? Would a machine shop even do that and would it be cheaper than the 300 or so that intakes are put up for on eBay. Any help or advice would be greT
OK if you have an Autolite 2bbl, check for that symbol and find out what the number is. They made several sizes and if you have a tiny one on there, you can upgrade to a bigger one. It's bolt on, and you shouldn't have any issues making it work right.
Not dramatic, but then the 4bbl isn't going to be dramatic either.

I wouldI try to find a 500 cfm holley 2 barrel for it. If it's a stock engine a 500cfm carb will get the maximum out of it. Im sure someone on here could tell you if you need an adapter plate for it to bolt onto your intake.
