Start Up After Sitting

I own a 2014 Class C with the 5.4 V8 engine. It has been sitting unused for 8 months. Do you think I should pull the fuel pump fuse & try & get oil pressure up first or just fire it up. It has about 47,000 miles on the clock.
Thanks for any opinions.

IMHO, I would hold the gas pedal down 100% to the floor, this will prevent it from starting and spin the engine over until the oil pressure light goes out/

If the same engine were in a Penske box truck, someone would just turn the key and drive it and probably not have any issues. That having been said, I'd do what @Beechkid said above ^^^^^^^ and/or disable the fuel pump to crank for a bit before "allowing" it to fire. I'm one of those types that believe that an engine treated nicely will return the favor someday.
