Intro

Hi
I am a 62 year old widow and grandmother. I'm here because I'm trying to keep my husband's last pickup running. It's a 2003 Ford F 250 Super Duty with almost 400 thousand miles. It's actually been pretty dependable until this past year. Since my husband's death in 2022 I've had to learn about lots of new things. 😂 I'm lucky enough to have a family friend who is a shade tree mechanic and he helps out when something goes wrong. He's a Chevy lover though so he's not as familiar with Fords. My Daddy and my husband were both Ford truck guys. The last few months I've run into a couple of issues that I'm still trying to solve. One is I discovered what the infamous Death Wobble feels like. Scared me to death. We've been trying to find the cause and still having the issue. Then my headlights have suddenly stopped working on dim. They only work on bright. So I've actually been reading this forum for about 6 months looking for answers to things. I decided I should join so maybe I can get more help. I'm retired but I am involved in Liver Cancer Advocacy since my husband had liver cancer. I'm glad to be here and hope I can learn some things.

Welcome Dancing Eyes! I just joined about 24 hours after you but welcome anyway! We are reading from the same book. My Dad passed in 2022 and I brought his last truck home recently. Drove 2300 miles. Rode on a flatbed the last 250. 😡 it’s a 2005 Superduty, 6.0 w/ just over 90K.

welcome to this site, sorry to hear of your lose and issues with the truck, which 1 sounds minor, such as the possibility of both headlamp bulbs needing to be replaced, or more involved a worn out dimmer switch on the column, The death wobble with those miles may be a costly repair
post away with your questions down in this section https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum30/
