Using locking diff to get a fast start on the street
One ‘problem’ with the 6.7 diesel, it puts down loads of torque and cannot get off the line w/o spinning one wheel and getting nowhere! One time I got this bright idea and locked the diff to get in front of the car next to me at a light so I could enter the freeway. It worked like a charm, the back end floated a little, but it hooked up and took off getting me in front to enter the freeway! I know the diff unlocks ~20mph so it worked great. Anybody used this feature like this?
Yeah, my truck accelerates pretty well without locking the diff.
And, of course, you run the risk of breaking something doing hard acceleration runs with it locked, especially if you suddenly had to make a turn while it was still locked.
IIRC, it doesn't unlock until above 25.

Was that you, You should remember me, I was the guy laughing.......Thinking, what a fool that guy is, or wait must be a doctor on the way to the hospital.
If you really want a hard acceleration, put it 4 wheel high, get the RPMs up and lift off the brake pedal!!
Back in the days of tuning, I'd be able to launch stuff off the dashboard into the back seat. It took some finessing not to wheel hop the crap out of it.

Not sure if have the diff lock unlock at full throttle is great for its service life, but hey, if it keeps you off of drugs, hookers and gambling, more power to ya.

What in the heck do you think he's running from?
His bookie is also a pimp and drug dealer and he owes him big bucks!
I wind up turning off traction control because if I am making a turn and give ti too much pedal a group of tires spins and the truck drops power. A dead pedal when turning with traffic coming is not a fun experience. I wound up turning my Pedal Monster down to save on tires. I don't need to lock mine up, doesn't even have a locker, just turn off traction control and it will GO! I went head to head with a dude in an F150 with the 5.0 and wumped him. Not once, not twice, but several times.
I was under the impression that the E-Locker Pull Dial - was SUPPOSED to be used from stop light to stop light-my bad.... I think it's good to engage in a straight line from time to time! Asking for a friend.....
If your giving it the beans, from stop, nothing helps the fact it pulls timing, to stop spinning, cant 'really' turn traction control off, it will still do it.
