I know this is kinda deviating from the original purpose of the thread, but figured I'd ask.
I replaced the rear main seal on this engine when I put it back together, but within a couple of months it was leaking again. I am looking into a repair sleeve for the crankshaft, there are some grooves in the crank, but I have seen some varying opinions on these. Is this something I should look into? I may have just ruined the seal by installing it wrong, I used some oil on the sealing surface and put it in gently, but I have never installed one before. The leaking rear main seal may just be a curse and you can never get rid of it. *shrug.
