The 47 in the model designation comes from the GVRW of 4700#
The F1 has the same weight rating. I believe the only difference is that all Ford trucks of Canada received 239 cid V8 engines. US got both 239 V8 and 226 six cyl.
Brake and chassis parts should be all the same. The biggest difference in the 1948 models is the Canadian trucks didn't get the new design 8BA/8RT engine until later in the model year, after serial number H48-20000. Prior to that, Canadian production continued to use the 59AB engine. And as Tim noted, the 6 cylinder engine used in the states wasn't available in Canada.
