the torque comes in so early it just roast the tires and then when it does hook it doesn't have the hp to go.......but I'm hoping to change that when I re-do the intake........the v-10 has some LONG runners and I'm going to shorten them to lower the intake so that should move the torque curve up and hp too
we'll see
And you can't get around that by gearing?

What rear do you have now?

How are you going to modify your intake? I have been wanting to go with an aftermarket intake, but I don't know of anyone who makes one. The bottom of the intake is a plastic box that is screwed to the upper aluminum intake and I'm afraid that when I raise my boost I might blow the bottom off the intake. Do you have any suggestions on how to modify my intake to prevent this?
Well I haven't decided yet.....I'm either going to chop the intake runners right above the bolts that hold the fuel rail on and lower it an inch..(how far you can lower it before the plastic piece hits the valley of the engine) and then i'm going to make a new piece that bolts to the top of the intake the thing that the throttle body bolts to. I'm going to make it out of aliumiun(sorry.....i can't spell) and make it a lower profile
OR
I'm going to chop the intake runners right above the bolts that hold the fuel rail on and make a completely different upper intake out of aliumiun(sorry again.......i can't spell)
it's still up in the air

oh and as for modifing the intake so you can raise boost....I don't know......I'm still looking into some designs.....but no one makes anything for these things unless it's custom fabed

What about eliminating the lower plastic part, and giving the upper a good EXTRUDE PORT job?I havent looked at an intake unbolted ,but have wondered if this would esentially give it a shorter path.

I dont know how you would eliminate the lower part because the air flows from the throttle body down into the plastic lower part and ten back up into the ten runners that go to the cylinders.

I'm thinking about doing that when i lower the intake.........take the lower off.....make a box type piece out of metal and bolt it to it.......would do the same thing as the pastic piece and shorten the runners alot also.
