Newbie here, I need to replace my front and rear shocks. Rear shocks measure 24" from eyelet to eyelit. Do I order standard length? I'm not sure if this thuck has a leveling kit. Can someone advice? Are these original stock blocks? Pics included.
If you go on rockauto's site and look up shocks for your truck they link to all the brands which will show the lengths of the shocks. The rears are OEM, the fronts do look like a spacer was added. But...you will see the various mfg'ers all have different lengths for the same truck listing. IIRC on my 99 SD 4x4 the "correct" shocks all seem pretty long. I also have a 2" front lift/level and a 4" rear block as opposed to the OEM 2.75" block and am running the normal length shocks. Id say the only way you'd wanna do actual drop and compress custom length shock is if you were doing some decent frame twisting offroad work.
