I'm old enough that this will probably be my last truck. Not worried about resale. Haven't got a response from dealer when I ask what Ford did to resolve issue. Thanks for the input. Didn't have time to contact insurance yet.

AppleFord looked it up and it had new pinion bearings and races installed plus some other minor issues. Doesn't sound bad enough to be Lemon lawed. What rear axle would a 2023 F250 have? Thanks.

If you can have them provide the full service history to review and its just the rear end- I might be inclined to buy if the price was right. How is the truck priced against other similar build and mileage trucks online/autotrader? It would have to 20% or better difference between similar used trucks.
Assuming this is a 7.3 with a 4.30rear end? These seem to produce the most NVH driveline complaints.
If the 4.30, The R&P rear end noise and subsequent service repair attempts to mitigate do little to solve the problem which is more of a driveline alignment issue combined with good set up. Some trucks need to shim the leaf pack and that generally takes care
of most of the noise. My point is that it’s not a major mechanical that is going to strand you on the side of the road. My 21 had it and my 24 has it.
If you do proceed, work them to include a Ford Premium Care warranty to 8yr/120,000 miles .
