Alright so we just got a 1974 f250. 360 4 speed
The back is lifted but they didn't do anything with the front. I just noticed the pinion is pointed straightish its got a slight down angle to it.
Do I fix that with angled blocks?
First time Ford owner here. I'll try and get pictures asap.
It is a Highboy (divorced xfer case and a long front drive shaft)? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...mpilation.html
And it is a low pinion exit axle? Versus a high pinion exit axle? Like in 77-79 F150 and F250's.
DO NOT PUT BLOCKS ON THE FRONT, IT IS ILLEGAL IN MOST STATES AND JUST PLAIN DUMB. Maybe take the lift out the back, did they double stack the OEM blocks to make it ride high in the back?
Well I discovered a lot of the problems today. One the previous owners went weld happy on this truck. The tried to make a spacer for the tcase(to lower it from the frame) out of a couple pieces of angle iron and flat strap. Going to be a little but more of a project than I thought. But still a great first truck for my son.
So they tried to fix/make up for the front axle pinion angle by lowering the xfer case. Is the front end suspension stock? You need to post up some pics of what you have going on. A pic is worth a 1000 words.
