Reverse mounting third brake light antenna mount???
Has anyone been able to reverse mount a third brake light antenna mount?
I see complaints about the wind picking it up and causing it to vibrate while driving don the freeway. I have a fiberglass cab high topper on the bed and think that it may not vibrate if I install it facing the rear of the truck. Probably have to increase the bend angle but that shouldn't be too hard to do.
I went and took a look at my truck, I would have to pull the fiberglass topper back about a foot to install the mount, then it would still be a tight fit between the third brake light and the topper. There is only about a 1/2" gap as it sits. I think I will run a long antenna cable to the trailer and mount the antenna there.
