I have 6 trucks ranging from 61-66 and I notice 3 different heat systems in them . Custom cab or just year differences I do not know. one cab will get parted out, if I have what you need its yours for free.

On my '62. There is the heater box and a cable pull **** operated fresh air vent (the dotted lines next to your red circle). On some trucks the fresh air vent is connected to the heater box with a tube assembly like you have circled so you get fresh air into the heater box. On my truck there is not a tube.
