header help?
I'm looking at these headers for this 74 F100 build we're doing. I'm in Canada so this is a good site for me. I plan on having from the header back custom bent with flowmaster 40s straight pipe to the rear.

thanks for any experience you have to share
Good luck NOT breaking a exhaust manifold bolt. Clean and thread chase the bolt holes with a proper size tap. Get new attachment hdwr, either stainless or actual header bolts and use some Nordloc washers. Torque hdwr properly, pattern wise and proper min and max. And some say you can do a hot and or cold torque run, at least 3 times. I do not want to open that can or worms, so just do your own research about that.
Get some Remflex headers gaskets and or follow their directions. One and done. Make sure the heads, the headers, the gaskets and even your hands (come installation of the gaskets and headers) are oil/grease/PB plaster/WD40/PB and J and Molsen FREE. Chemicials on the gaskets can cause them to burn out early.
When the muffler shop make the connections at the header flange, you can also use Remflex collector gaskets. Or just some high temp RTV.
