1966 f250

Hello.
I'm restoring a1966 f250 that was left abandoned by my uncle for 23 years. I have so far:
  • Replaced the engine completely. The original engine ran for about a year, but got a headgasket leak and threw a rod. That or the premium I put in it that day for the first time was a bad idea...
  • Replaced the transmission
  • Restored wiring, body paint.
  • Added a very ugly radio so I have something to listen to. I can't afford the factory look alike and the one that was in the truck doesn't work.
  • Refurbished the original carborator.
The engine I replaced is a 390 with an HEI. I reused my autolite carborator that came with the truck.

Hey thanks. It is absolutely a labor of love. But it is hugely satisfying also.

I do have the tachometer working.
