Can someone explain what a leveling kit is? I just bought a 2003 F350 Crewcab SRW 4x4. Will a leveling kit fix the front end from looking lower than the rear of the truck?
A leveling kit will generally raise the front end about 3" to make the truck sit level. If you are looking for one, the EDGE kit by donahoe racing is a great kit.
I put one on and I love it. It raised the front 2.5 in. Only one problem. When I put the 5th wheel on the rear it squats the rear about 2-3 inches and makes it feel like the tail is wagging the dog. Now I have to get air bags for the rear to keep it level with a load.
Can anyone suggest a good air bag system?
>Thanks for the help. How hard are the kits to put on?
Hanger and shackle kits invove swapping out your stock hangers and shackles with the longer ones in the kit. Swap out the stock shocks with the new ones in the kit. It is an easy kit to do for the average DIY.
How
>much do the kits usually cost?
Edge is the most expensive at around $670 I think
Fabtech also makes a good kit for somewhere around $540 if I'm not mistaken but I could be wrong.
