Interesting video on Fords latest CCV system and it does have an interval filter that some thought it didn't. This filter is relatively small so perhaps it doesn't allow the back pressure as the previous design did?
there is no evidence that all mainstream air is intended to flow thru that paper screen and out the CCV box. to me that screen looks like a droplets trap intended to deflect drops dripping down to make them go around the three intake ports of what looks to be a pressure valve (3 holes in and 1 hole out). to me, the paper screen is not inline to catch 100% of the air flow.
but SPE will play on the hysteria by representing this as a new small internal filter to down play the new box is any good.
I have had less fuel dilution with the new box design...probally due to that 3 into 1 check valve .....which SPE wants you to believe is a filter.

Yes you could be right. I'll have to go back and watch the video with your points in mind. Having said that, I agree 100% with you that the aftermarket always downplays the OEM designs in order to drum up some business or they simply don't understand how the design really functions and make assumptions (Case in point Gale Banks video of their rear differential cover mimics the OEM design for proper lube flow vs the competition flat surface rear differential covers that doesn't flow lube properly).
