does anyone know how to fix the speedo needle from jumping






91 Ford Explorer 2 door sport

 

check connections at the speed sensor on side of transmission, also might have a speed sensor going bad. Does your abs lamp come on?

 

nope changed 3k ago all tight

 

Mine was fine. then I unhooked the battery to install one of those cutoff switches, later when I used the cruise control it was very jerky and I looked at the speedo and it was jerky as well.

In the process of changing my oils I noticed that the speed sensor was leaking so I replaced it and now the speedo is not jerky anymore..... cruise still doesn't seem to be as smooth as before but thats another story .. 93 sport manual
