I have a 2020 Ford F150, I have IWE solenoid not send out the pressure. I already replaced 2 different solenoids and still not working. I know this is common problem.
I'm not great at troubleshooting iwe. That said, what do you mean not send out pressure? Have you replaced the check valve? It is the most common failure. YG-360.
edit: what is it doing or symptoms that make you think iwe issue?
I have a 2020 Ford F150, I have IWE solenoid not send out the pressure. I already replaced 2 different solenoids and still not working. I know this is common problem.
It operates in a vacuum. There will not be any pressure.
It's likely one of the IWEs is broken, and the constant vacuum leak is ruining the solenoid. That's what happened on my truck. The leak at the IWE damaged the solenoid and the vacuum pump. I got tired of constantly messing with the system, and hearing noises from my hubs, so the IWEs were eliminated.
Yup. To echo what JkBrad said, even Ford recommends the IWE delete now. I had no issues with mine, but deleted them preemptively. I pulled and plugged the vacuum line on mine, so it can be reversed, but it does not affect the truck or function of the 4WD or Automatic 4WD at all.
You can just unplug the solenoid. But follow Ford’s TSB to prevent further vacuum
leaks. If the is still noise at the hub, like my truck had, the one of the IWEs is likely broken.
TSB, as you can see For no longer recommends trying to fix the vacuum issues to the hubs.
Who knows. Trying to limit their payout, I would guess. Like some many TSBs and recalls that list build dates, even though many people outside those build dates have the same issues. And TSBs don't get performed unless there is a diagnosis, or some other compelling reason to do it. They are not mandatory.
