DPF filter cleaning

Is it possible to use a Kiln to remove the soot and ash for the DPF filter? Or would I have to replace it.

you would have to cut it open and take the filter out, bake it blow it out and then put it back together.
there are a few companies that offer that service. I don't remember the company names though. someone will be along with that info though.
where you live would also be helpful.

Pittsburgh Power is on the east coast... I know there's some on the west coast and some in between.

I found a local company (San Antonio) that was reasonable cost and fantastic customer service. Highly recommend calling around your local area.

Check out the link I posted as they state the different stages and how they clean the particulate filter... pretty interesting.

Look for a new or low miles take off …with all the weight loss going on…should be cheaper than bake cleaning…and..if you are lucky..find one with all the sensors becuase your sensors are not going to come out…factor sensor madness into the cost of bake cleaning

or you can go water methonal injection. The kits on my last two trucks cost 500 bucks and they clean dpfs very well

F550 trucks have a unique exhaust so nothing else will work.
Most F550 trucks are commercial or hot shot trucks so most have intact emissions, no take offs laying around,
