Looks like I'll keep rocking the antiquated iDashes in my antiquated truck...
speaking of which, just adjusted my Pedal Monster up to Sport 5 from City 5 I had in winter... for now.
That sux but it is what it is... those **** ers...
But thinking more about this, it makes sense because the 20s plus ECMs are encrypted so thinking that is why they had to probably make a new iDash for the new 20 plus tuners.

So was on Banks last night with my truck's details...
This would be for up to MY19... tuner for our trucks come with the now old iDash 1.8 units.
Self explanatory... no use IMO upgrading to the Pro model because with the fact I already own the PM and the Derringer tuner, there's no way to control the Derringer on the Pro for my truck, or any 11 to 19 model year.
Banks told me 11 thru 19 with derringers have to keep 1 old idash, and can add pro dashes as accessory dashes.
old idash would control deringer
smart phone app would see pedal mode buster and new pro idashes
basically running 2 systems.
I cancelled my pro idash upgrade but may change directions and just not use the deringer anymore.
Exactly... running two systems but probably not Banks fault as all newer 20s and up has the encrypted ECMs, so that must obviously affect the way our ECMs communicate, or cannot, between the Pro models and the Derringer.
Plus, those PMs coming with the new Pros must be different from ours as well... sure, I would like the brighter colors and faster internal processor which would lead to a more accurate read on the PIDs, but I like having control of both the PM and Derringer on my old secondary iDash.
Wait, do I understand correctly, Banks has a Derringer now for 20+? Think they would give me a credit on my old Derringer?
Wouldn't see why not... especially since they were willing to upgrade the old iDash units to the Pro for $120... you'll have to send the old one back first if this is a thing.
Give them a buzz and let us know how you make out. .
