Great looking truck!
Don't think I've ever seen that combination out on the road. The low numbers would say why.
In fact, though I've seen Candy Apple Broncos, I can't remember ever seeing a Candy Apple full-size. Two-tone or not.
Pretty cool.
Thank you! Yes, a true candy apple red original color with Wimbledon white painted vinyl roof option. 212 were made with these paint codes per my Marti report.
Yes, great looking truck,
I purchased a brand new 'bright red' 1980 LWB F100 here in Australia, we assembled dent sides here until Nov 1980, If I had had that Candy Apple red as a choice I would have snapped it up,
Always liked the 60's candy colours!
IMO there is no doubt the dent sides are among the best-looking trucks of all time, along with the 1940 Ford pickup I once co-owned as a teenager in New Zealand and wish I still owned now,
I also thought the 1956 F1 was a beauty.
Currently restoring a pair of High Boys, right hand drive Canadian assembled 1975 and 1976, the 76 was bodied as an Australian Airforce (RAAF) recovery ambulance
and is quite unique.
The 75 is stripped down to chassis devoid of running gear and about to get a POR-15 chassis paint job.
Restored cab colour will be pearled silver over minty blue.
Thanks for the great photo...inspiration when I'm feeling sore restoring these trucks, I'm 73 and have some arthritis in the hands.
@bushbased, very cool story there. I was lucky to find this one I am the second owner. True 86,000 miles documented from day of new purchase with 10 miles on the odometer. Original owner was very meticulous with paper work and kept it all as he passed it to me I have the original invoice, window sticker, sales brochure and every maintenance and yearly inspection from day one, even the police report from being stolen in 1975.
Sometime the stars are in alignment, how rare is that!
So many more badly maintained and beat up trucks than the rare well looked after one.
I didn't realise that that colour was a Ford option, not offered her in Australia sadly.
