Do any of you folks have a frame without a front bumper? Would you mind checking the width between the tips of the front frame horns? I forgot to do this before doing some cutting on the F-250 bracing. I'm pretty sure mine shifted and want to make sure I have these with the correct spread before I reweld the braces.
Looks like specification for the radiator core support mounts (those big holes) is 32.04 inches apart center to center, 30" sounds about right if measuring inside between frame rails.
I goofed here. This is a supercab lowboy 4x4. My inside dimension is approximately 29 3/16". I thought the higboys were narrower. Maybe that's the rear.
Do a cross X tape measure check and burn it in. This is an EXAMPLE below of the X measurement check using a early Bronco diagram for the X. Sorry I do not have the X measurement you need.
What did you cut out and why do you think it shifted? I mean if you think is shifted, you want it 100% ck it before you weld it home. Because once welded and it dog legs after you put it back together, you can chase it to the end of the world. But is the frame is "off", no way to shim it, unless it goes on a frame rack with chains and hydro's.
Thx for the extra pics. I'll grab my core support and check the distances between mounting holes. I need to break the front clip apart anyway for cleanup and paint. I don't know why I didn't just measure it from the get go instead of asking here. :braindead:
Taking the front clip apart can sort of be a PITA. Especially when you separate the outer grill shell and fenders. Take lots of pics of all the little pieces.
