I have a new to me 2022 F250 lariat CCSB 4X4 with the 7.3l gas engine and 3.55 locking rear axle. Also has the 9900lb GVW package. I am wanting to service the axles. The owners manual mentions a 10.5, 10.8 and 11.8 axle, which all have different specs for the fluid weight. I will tow about 5500lbs with this truck. Also, is the factory gasket on the front and rear axles reusable?
I appreciate the help.

Reason: typo
It has 12 bolts, so it must be the Sterling. Do you know if the factory gasket is reusable on this axle? How about the front axle gasket?
I believe they come with RTV and no gasket from the factory.
I am about to do the gear lube change on mine, and I bought a reusable gasket, it is a Victor Reinz 71-20065-00.
No idea on the front, my truck doesn't have one.
3.55 ratio for gas trucks is the Sterling 10.5. RTV is the factory gasket for both front and rear, youll have to buy aftermarket gaskets if you dont want to use RTV.
I doubt you could get the syphon tube all the way down to the bottom of the housing to get all the fluid out.
Fill plug is on the front side, near where the pinion goes through.
Plus, no way to clean any metal trash out that may be in there.
When I do mine, I am going to replace the cover with one that has a magnetic drain plug.
Not a reusable gasket. If your planning on keeping the truck long enough that you will be the the next guy to service the diff then I would highly recommend you pick up a “Lube Locker” gasket, they make life easy.

The Victor reusable gasket I mentioned above is heavier than the lube-locker and cheaper.
My new aluminum diff cover was waiting for me when I got home this evening, looks way cool, and has a nice size drain plug.
Will make a thread about it and the install later.
