e4od transmission
was pulling my horse trailer in the pasture and the truck hardly pulled it. bands slipping looking at a new transmission anyone recommend any brands of good remanufactured ones thanks

It has been 20 years since I replaced my transmission in my old Ranger I used to have.
OE manual trans blew up & I replaced it with a rebuild from ManTrans in FL (also used to sell / advertise on Ebay).
At the time, price & warranty was very reasonable & I drove it for 10-12yr after that so I would say it was a descent rebuild.
Hmmm.... I just looked for them & I think this is the same place but it looks like (as their name imples) they specialize in manual transmissions.

There is only one band and it's not used when the transmission is in D. I believe it's in 2nd. Early transmissions have a lot of updates. Since we do not know what you got, it's hard to say how good it left the factory.
I would look locally. If there is an issue and you bought this online, you will have nothing but issues if there is a warranty concern. People online can't witness the problem on a test drive.
