Hi

Mechanic broke off a small piece underneath the nut getting off the old ball joint
Is this a problem? He said it's not but then again that's probably what he would say being that he broke it LOL

Its only a problem if you need camber/caster adjustment.

But, since those are so old and rusty, you'd be replacing them anyways.

Cannot blame the mechanic for old and rusty parts breaking.

In theory they could migrate slowly, or slightly. The slot is broken off. It has two slots, opposing each other, one will fit over the tab on the axle beam. That said I highly doubt it’ll ever move, and I would run it. Has it been aligned yet?

Those are non adjustable eccentrics. If you need to replace, try a set of Moog adjustable eccentrics if you need to adjust. Otherwise, you’ll have to find that particular eccentric to get it back in alignment, they are pre set.
