The wire that’s running to the sender (I have a left side of the frame mounted plastic tank) is not reading any voltage. I tracked it down into the engine bay and it is a mint green wire that goes into a plug that then goes into the cab. This truck did originally have dual tanks but I got rid of the back one and bypassed the solenoid and removed it entirely. It was working fine for months until it suddenly went out today. I have tried grounding the wire going to the sender using multiple different ground locations including directly from the battery with no success. My truck has an oil pressure gauge from the factory that still works. No matter what I have tried I am unable to get the gauge on the dash to move

I managed to somehow get the flashing 5 bolts for just a moment then it went away. All I did was take the fuse in and out for the tank switch
Flashing 5-volts sounds like you have a relay like the fuel injections systems utilize
Therefore, an in-tank pump can still operate while the fuel-level sender is not. _ _ or vise-verse.

The flashing 5 volts comes from the gauge cluster voltage regulator, also I figured it out late last night. It’s the in dash tank selector switch. If I shake the hell out of the switch it’ll begin to work
