Keyless entry stopped working

It MAY have been after I got my truck back from the dealer. I mean, it WAS, but it MAY not have been immediately. Hard to tell, as about the only time I lock my truck is when I am remote starting.

Anyway, it's always worked before, stopped in the last few days. Can't lock or unlock except with the fob or button on the door.

I've checked all the "features" and "settings" to see if there is a user selectable option that may have gotten changed and can't find one. Is it back to the dealer, or...?

Had the same thing happen last week after a service on my 2023 250, The dealer said it must be a coincidence I got home from service and waited a few hours, went back out and it was working again. Have not had any issues since.

Probably the BMS disabling it to save the battery.

I am driving the truck almost every day, 20-30 miles, and it was driven back from the dealer 40 miles before I drove it home that day.

I have, in the past, left the truck for 2 weeks and all it disabled was access from the app.

When I had a 2021 bronco sport, it would occasionally happen to me.
This was after driving over 200 miles a day.
The System truly sucks.

Try unhooking the battery for 20 minutes. It doesn’t matter if you drive it everyday. The battery’s in these trucks a re super finicky when it comes to voltage and they are crap.

Disconnected it for an hour or so. No change.

Do you have dual batteries? Both negative cables need removed to cut power if the BCM reset is the fix for your issue.

I have a single chassis battery, but I understand that the 2KW pro-power has a second battery (or maybe 2?) behind the rear seat. I seem to recall that it's 24v though, so I assume not tied into the chassis battery system.

Correct. Those batteries are not tied into the 12v system and are dedicated to the inverter.

Not sure if this is related, but I just remote started the truck, unlocked it with the fob, and about 5 seconds after I opened the door the engine shut off.

In my wife's Telluride, if it's remote started and one of the doors other than the drivers door is opened first, it will shut off if the drivers door is not opened by then. But this has never happened to me before. I had not even settled enough to reach over and grab the door to shut it...

You could try the reprogramming procedure outlined in the manual. Might help and might not, but worth a shot before having to take it back to the dealer.

How long has it been running for between you initiating the remote start and getting in? By default I think the remote start running time is only like 10 minutes.

It was less than 1 minute. Probably 30 seconds. I didn't "need" to pre-start it, I just like to have it running enough that the idle is back down to "normal" before I take off. It was already moderately warm from having been driven and fully warm about 2 hours before. I often do that - remote start it on my way when it's only 50-100' away.
