"Check Fuel Cap"

I might be oversimplifying, but if I'm getting an alert saying check fuel cap should I just start with replacing the cap? I removed it and reinstalled it and it seems to click fine and visually looks fine. I do have very low miles on my 2021 w/7.3L (12K miles) so maybe the seal doesn't get exercised too often as I don't gas up all that much. It popped up when I started the truck this morning, again this afternoon, and then again just a few minutes ago in the driveway. I've reseated the cap each time but it keeps coming back.

I would change the cap. The seal gets worn out over time.

Put silicone grease/dielectric grease on the seal, solves the problem for a few years.
