I've been searching for a locking fuel cap for my PSD. Has anyone had any luck finding one? I don't want to change the fuel door, and I am aware that it's not complete security, but I would like to keep the novice thieves out. Also, would like to find a locking def cap.
You may want to give BEM auto a call and see if they have locking caps for your MY 22. I have both for my MY 21 and am very happy with fit, form, function and finish. # on cap in pic.
Added a tiny strip of Velcro to attach the fuel cap to the inside of the fuel door as to not lose or drive off without my cap.
Small piece of industrial Velcro holds the locking cap great.
The Stant does fit, as will all others with that part number from other places, like autozone or carquest/advance auto.
Have had one on mine for a couple of months now.
And, actually, my aux tank uses the same one.
Don't modern vehicles have things in place in the filler tube to prevent gas from being siphoned? They are not just a straight pipe to the tank anymore, are they?

Doesn't keep some jackass from trying, or dumping some crap in.

I know my 2002 F-150 had this in place... Found it when my fuel pump died right after a fill up. wanted to siphon the gas out to make dropping the tank easier and was unpleasantly surprised that I wouldn't be doing that. ended up lifting the bed.
You might stop mischief makers, but from what I understand, these days they just drill a hole in the tank if they want to steal your fuel, because it's too hard to siphon.

I'd rather find an empty tank and a hole than a gallon of water through my CP4/Fuel System.
