If you plan on keeping the truck long term, and you plan to stick with 10k mile change intervals, I would say yes to your question.

I would get an oil sample done to see if it should be changed at a lesser mileage.

I'd say for a $12k engine, the cost for synthetic is a no brainer. If you do your own oil changes at 10k, $110ish for 4 gallons of Rotella T6 plus another $25-30 for a Motorcraft filter is cheap compared to the overall cost of the truck. As I daily drive, my oil monitor has me changing about every 7500 miles. I'll also do fuel filters annually as it'll just be my normal annual maintenance schedule for air filters, etc.

I use Valvoline Premium Blue 5w40 full Synthetic.
Look at my last oil test that I've included below.

I did not test the oil that came in the truck and was changed out at 5,000 miles.
The first oil change on the sheet at 13,244 miles was Motorcraft 10w30 that the dealer installed at my oil change
Every change since that, I've done at home with Valvoline.
some of the differences in values can be attributed to break in, But I think most of the differences in values are type of oil and additive package each contained.

Bottom line, My trucks seems to do ok with 10,000 mile oil changes on Full Syn oil

Yes but only after motor breaks in and rings seat. I’d hold off until 10k miles or even 2nd oil change and only then go full synthetic. Do some heavy towing to build boost after initial heat cycles for drive train (1000 miles or so) before towing.

I have been running Rotella T6 synthetic in every diesel I've owned for about the last two decades. I honestly don't see why you wouldn't if you want to run longer OCI.

Synthetic oil is the technology of today. For a vehicle built this century, dino oil would be a step back in performance.

Fairly Graphic in the illustrated benefit. I'm a Shell Rotella T6 fanatic. Over the 3 diesel SDs, over 600,000 miles total - no issues with engine internals. I don't push the mileage intervals - probably 7,500 between changes on average. Not a 10,000 mile guy. The filter gives up before the oil at that point.
