63 f100 Disc Brake Conversion
Got the speedway kit but no information on where these 2 pairs of clips mount? I'm sure they are some kind of anti-rattle purpose but just don't see where they go. Help appreciated! Thanks
The longer clips are 1969-1981 GM style - they clip onto the back of the inside brake pads using the two opposing hooks and then the single longer V-shaped spring tab goes inside of the caliper piston - one on each side. I'm not familiar with the smaller ones myself.
I think the short clips clip on to the fixed pad. One on each caliper as a wear indicator. When the pad becomes too worn, the edge begins to scrape on the rotor. At least that is what they remind me of.

I dont think they are wear sensor as you can see them on the pad next to the caliper. Also they are sitting flat so cant see how they would make noise?
I have never seen them before in all the brakes I have done but have seen the longer ones and they go on as said, on the pad and into the caliper to hold the pad tight from making noise.
Some outer pads come with a peel & stick pad you put on the brake pad before installing it. Also if you bend the tab that fits over the caliper so it holds the pad in tighter helps stop noise.
I use a brake glue on both pads to hold them tight when there is no "peel & stick" pad to use.
