My 04 F250 5.4l blew a head gasket at 125k. I fixed it and got 2 rebuilt heads and it ran great. The other day at 146k #4 plug blew out and pulled the helicoil repair threads out and was told I need a new head. What should I do pull and replace passenger side hes or put the money towards a reman engine with 0 miles on it? Was told to look at Fraser Engine Rebuilder. All new parts with a 5 year/ unlimited warranty for $2800. Are they a good company, is there better? Or should I just replace the head and be done with it? Who sells good reman heads, I need the passenger side. Thank you
Well I also called POWERTRAIN ENGIBES and JASPER ENGINES with jasper being the most expensive. Anyone have dealings with any of these companies? Also spoke with FORD which cost the same as Jaspers $5400
The spa plug hole in dad head was repaired. Once ready, it blew out the insert, which did more damage.I was told that they can't fix that hole unless it is welded. Unread tapped at that point, it is cheaper to replace the head. And then the parts start adding up.

We can do the Ford reman for $3849 plus a $1600 core charge. We can usually have them delivered at no extra cost or for a small fee, core pickup is the same, free or a very small fee. The Ford reman has a three year, unlimited mileage parts and labor warranty.
