95 f150 centurion conversion

My father has this car for almost 30 years. He bought it in 1996 with 6000 miles. From Penn motors in berwick pa. I’ve only seen 1 other short bed reg cab. Mine is blue with blue leather. The other one is black that fades to red. With grey leather. J

More info

I inherited it from my father’s passing. Just looking for information about these trucks and wondering if this truck is worth restoring

Almost all of them are worth restoring!

If it is truly a Centurion conversion, It is definitely more interesting to certain fans than a non-Centurion that is otherwise exactly like it. I've never heard of an F-150 Centurion conversion, and never seen one with a regular cab or short bed.

Centurion made a name for themselves doing upfit conversions and Ford "Suburban" conversions from F-250s and F-350s. I knew they did some other odd conversions, and now know of this odd conversion.

Everything I find about centurion seems like they converted them to SUV type of vehicles. This truck has an appearance package to it. It has centurion badges on the exterior. The seats are leather with the centurion emblem embroidered on the headrest. And the wood grain has the centurion on it’. There isn’t any conversion. Just appearance. The converted ones look awesome with the 4 doors

i had a 95, the truck was great the conversion not so great, all the fiberglass was installed with self drilling sheet metal screws, many of them went into the wire hardness's. causing shorts that drove the dealer crazy,
yes they looked great rolling down the road if they didn't vibrate apart , the decals were under a clear coat paint that peeled of in sheets ,

down the road if they didn't vibrate apart ,

They did other conversions as well, but yeah they're mostly known for F-250/F-350 "Suburbans". I've seen them upfit Ford tow rigs and vans too, but usually it was trim, upholstery, and body panel add-ons and the like. Yours is the first F-150, and the first standard-cab I've seen of theirs.

I suspect that when the Explorer, and later the Expedition and Excursion came along, those were all bad for Centurion's business. Also, a lot of brand loyalty started to disappear around the same time, so that probably played into the picture as well as folks didn't necessarily feel they had to have a Ford full-size SUV for special-money prices when there were GMC and Chevrolet Suburbans right across the street that would do about the same thing about as well.
