Bought my new plow truck this year, single cab no carpet and get a set of Weather tech mats. Well going in and out with wet salty boots, the design allows the salty water to go right off the mat and down into the channel along the rails. The mats don’t go far enough out. Pretty stupid design. I attached a pic. No carpet.
Are there any other options to avoid this ? I read through pages of threads and I don’t see much.
There are some matts that extend over the sill. Tuxmat is one. This isn't the best picture but you get the idea.
The design of the ford door sill area makes it really hard to keep all the salty water out of those seams without hitting the door gasket.
On a side-note, the ford "all weather" mats are even worse than the weathertechs that you have.

I saw the TUXMAX brand in an earlier post. Do you know what material they are ? They don't look like rubber
I email weather tech and apparently there are two different types. The Weather Liner HP has a sill to catch water, the all weather don't. Weather tech should extend that out a bit more and it would work.

I've had them in a different vehicle, and they are not "rubber" but some kind of rubberized vinyl kind of thing. They look like leather, but clearly not. Waterproof anyway.

Those look like the old Non “HP” line of WeatherTech floor mats. Checkout WeatherTech’s HP mats.
Husky used to make a tray style floor liner. Liner vs mat seems to be the difference. I had a set in a Silverado and then an F-150. They caught everything but you had to dump them out and I’d occasionally catch my boot heel on them getting in and out. They held liquid but the trick was getting them out to dump without making a mess.
Yes I spoke with Weather Tech and the HP like only works with carpet.
Most people who get carpet delete don't even run floor mats - the idea of the vinyl floor is that it can just be washed off instead of having to shampoo the carpets to get them clean. My FIL bought a carpet delete truck and hasn't bothered to get floor mats at all, he just uses paper towel and surface cleaner, a sponge and soapy water if it's really bad.

I did carpet delete on my platinum, but with the amount of snow that sticks to your shoes in winter you really need a mat to contain the melt.
I found the factory mats did a better job keeping the area clean than both Husky and Weathertech. That is until you go to dump the schiottt out, and then spill it trying to unpop the carpet connection. NONE, repeat NONE of them kept the carpet clean above the left foot area though, they don't go up high enough.

Yeah I've been finding that factory rubber floor mats tend to do a REALLY good job, and don't curl up like aftermarket ones.
