I was driving down a hill when i looked behind me and saw lots of smoke, i pulled over and looked under my truck and it was dumping out oil from what i assume was the rear main seal, thats all i know at the moment. i took off the little black inspection cover on my transmission and found some metal pieces, there was engine oil in the transmission and transmission fluid in the engine. But i have no idea what these pieces are:
Don’t recognize anything in that pic.. Post pictures of the transmission, engine and truck if you can.
There is no connection or direct way for trans fluid to get into the engine, or vice versa. You may have a pump leak at the same time as a rear main seal leak. They are not connected and cannot force fluids into each other.
