Radiator return line issue

So was sitting in line for food at the yellow arches, when my coolant starts blowing everywhere under the hub. The culprit was a small piece of rubber on the radiator near the cap (pictured). How can I keep this from not happening again?

By a quality radiator hose cap, as opposed to a vacuum line cap, or by a piece of radiator hose and clamp a bolt inside it.
